Terms of Sale
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of used vehicles from Ravo Motors(“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, requesting a quote, or making payment, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before you commit.
1.Definitions
“Buyer” means you, the purchaser of a vehicle. “Vehicle” means the used motor vehicle described in your quote or invoice. “Quote” means the written offer we provide for a specific Vehicle, payment terms, and destination port. “Destination port” means the port confirmed in the accepted Quote. “Documents” means the export and clearance documents released after full payment.
2.Quotations and orders
- All quotations are based on the Vehicle’s current condition and stock availability at the time of issue.
- A quotation is valid for 7 calendar days unless otherwise stated, and may be withdrawn or revised before the Buyer accepts.
- An order becomes binding once the Buyer accepts the Quote and the agreed first payment is received.
- Stock is sold on a first-paid, first-served basis. Until the agreed first payment is received, the Vehicle remains available to other buyers.
3.Payment
- Prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payment method and timing are confirmed in the accepted Quote.
- The agreed first payment starts the shipment process. The remaining payment is released when the Vehicle reaches the destination port, according to the accepted Quote.
- The Buyer pays all bank charges, intermediary fees and currency conversion costs at both the sending and receiving end.
- If the remaining payment is not received according to the accepted Quote, we may pause document release until payment is completed.
4.Vehicle condition
- All Vehicles are sold as used. We share the available car details, photographs, condition notes, and pricing before the Buyer accepts the Quote.
- Photographs and videos shown on listings are taken at the time of sourcing. Minor cosmetic differences may exist by the time the Vehicle is loaded due to handling at the auction yard or port.
- Used vehicles are not sold with any express or implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or future performance, except as required by mandatory law.
- It is the Buyer’s responsibility to review the available car details and ask questions before accepting the Quote.
5.Inspection
- Inspection requirements depend on the destination country, Vehicle, and shipment method.
- If a specific inspection or report applies to your shipment, we confirm it in the Quote.
- The Buyer is responsible for confirming local import and inspection requirements with their clearing agent or authority.
6.Shipping and delivery
- We arrange shipment to the destination port confirmed in the accepted Quote.
- Estimated transit times are guidance only. Vessel schedules, weather, port congestion and customs delays can change the actual arrival date.
- Shipping method, insurance, and included services depend on the accepted Quote.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping line schedule changes, weather, strikes, port closures, pandemics or any event of force majeure.
7.Import compliance, duty and registration
- The Buyer is solely responsible for compliance with the import laws of the destination country, including age limits, emissions rules, left-hand or right-hand drive restrictions, and any local pre-export inspection.
- The Buyer is solely responsible for paying customs duty, VAT, excise tax, port handling, clearing agent fees and registration costs in the destination country. Estimates we provide are guidance only and do not bind the local tax authority.
- If the Vehicle is rejected at port for non-compliance with destination-country rules that were the Buyer’s responsibility to verify, no refund is due from Ravo Motors.
8.Cancellation
- Once the agreed first payment is paid, an order is binding. Ravo Motors does not offer refunds for change of mind, finance falling through, or buyer’s remorse.
- If we are unable to source the Vehicle (for example, the Vehicle is sold to another buyer at auction before we can secure it), we will refund the deposit in full or, at the Buyer’s option, source a comparable Vehicle.
- If the Buyer cancels after the Vehicle has been purchased or shipment has started on the Buyer’s behalf, the Buyer remains liable for costs already incurred.
- Ravo Motors does not offer any money-back guarantee, satisfaction guarantee or post-delivery refund guarantee.
9.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to the Buyer for any claim arising out of or relating to a Vehicle or these Terms is limited to the FOB price paid for that Vehicle. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of use, or business interruption.
10.Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, port closures, vessel breakdown, fuel shortages, pandemic measures, or industry-wide strikes.
11.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the sale of a Vehicle is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in the Buyer’s home country provides otherwise.
12.Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the date of your invoice governs that order. Updated Terms apply to new orders placed after publication.
